Title: Blinded by precision- Laser induced macular injury
Description: A 26-year-old Asian female dermatologist sustained an accidental right-eye injury while performing hair removal with an Nd:YAG laser, after inadvertently directing a pulse into her eye while checking the laser pointer. On presentation, visual acuity was reduced to counting fingers. Fundus examination showed a star-shaped macular hole at the fovea with associated vitreous hemorrhage.(figure1A) Optical coherence tomography confirmed a full-thickness macular hole with well-defined edges and overlying hemorrhage.(figure1C)
At one month, visual acuity improved to 20/200, with spontaneous hole closure, stellate fibrosis, epiretinal membrane formation, and hemorrhage resolution.(figure 1B, 1D) Imaging confirmed healing with residual scarring, underscoring the importance of occupational safety awareness.

Title: Eye is the window to the soul/body- Choroidal metastasis
Description: Ultra-wide field color fundus image of the Right eye demonstrating extensive Exudative Retinal Detachment involving the posterior pole and extending into the nasal, temporal and inferior retina. Multiple pale-yellowish flat subretinal/choroidal lesions are noted suggestive of possible choroidal metastasis.
This was noted in a known case of Metastatic Carcinoma of the Lung presenting with blurring of vision in the Right eye. A comprehensive examination revealed Exudative Retinal Detachment in the Right eye with possible choroidal metastasis with an unremarkable left eye. This case serves to highlight that the choroid is a common site for metastasis especially from the Lung and Breast cancers.
