The applicant should have any one of the following criteria to be eligible to be a life
member of VRSI:
1. At least one or two years of completed fellowship in Vitreo Retina Specialty
(furnish certificate as proof).
2. Completed senior Residency in retina unit with certificate of proof and one
peer reviewed publication as 1st author in the area of vitreous and retina.
3. Five years in practice as retina specialist in the absence of any official
fellowship with one peer reviewed publication as 1st author in the area
of vitreous and retina.
If these criteria are not fulfilled, VRSI may admit such applicant as Associate Member,
based on their credentials. The associate Member’s membership could subsequently be
converted to permanent members by the secretarial office, without payment of additional
fee, if they attain the above said criteria.
