Dr. Pukhraj Rishi

Dr. Pukhraj Rishi

Fellowship trained at Wills Eye Hospital, Philadelphia, USA. and currently serves as a Senior Consultant with 20 years experience. His areas of interest include vitreo retinal surgery, and pediatric retinal diseases. He has over 150 peer-reviewed publications, authored 20 book chapters and co-edited three books. He has presented more than 135 invited lectures and talks. He is a reviewer for 32 international Ophthalmology journals. He has been awarded the prestigious Helmerich Retina Research Fellowship by the International Council of Ophthalmology (ICO) and research grants by Indian Council for Medical Research (ICMR), Department of Biotechnology (DBT), and World Ophthalmology Congress (WOC). For his contribution to posterior segment work, he has been awarded the coveted ‘AIOS CN Shroff award’ by ‘All India Ophthalmological Society’ and Hanumantha Reddy award in Pediatric Ophthalmology. He has been awarded the ‘Carl P Herbort Travel fellowship award’ by Uveitis society of India in 2014. He has been awarded the ‘Prof MA Matin Memorial Oration’ award by Bangladesh Academy of Ophthalmology in 2018. He is a visiting faculty for National Institute of Ophthalmology, Dhaka, Bangladesh and NTR Health University, Vijayawada, India. He is a fellow of the ‘Royal College of Physicians&Surgeons of Glasgow’ (FRCS), ‘Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh’ (FRCSEd), and ‘American College of Surgeons’ (FACS). He is a member of several professional bodies, including ARVO (Association for Research in Vision & Ophthalmology), AIOS (All India Ophthalmological Society), AAO (American Academy of Ophthalmology), ASRS (American Society of Retina Specialists), ISOO (International Society of Ocular oncology), USI (Uveitis Society of India), and others.

A graduate (1986) and PG (Ophth-1990) from SMS Medical College, Jaipur.

Did his VR fellowship from Retina Foundation Ahmedabad & a consultant at the Retina Foundation with Dr P N Nagpal from 1992 to 1998

During this time awarded a Fellowship at University of Wisconsin in USA in 1995 Since 1998 he is practicing VR surgery in Jaipur & has his own clinic & attached to Sahai hospital. He is also a visiting VR surgeon at Mahatma Gandhi medical college, Jaipur.

He is a regular invitee to state & All India Ophthalmological conference.

An avid traveller, he has visited more than 25 countries and attended many international conference & presented papers & chaired sessions. He has 4-5 articles published in peer reviewed journals. He has done about 10000 VR surgeries in his 20 years of practice & his special areas of interest are trauma, endophthalmitis, complications of Cat surgery & ROP. He is currently working on role of OCT –A in DR & ARMD.

He has co-authored 2 chapters in LC Dutta. Book of Ophth. A teacher by heart, He is also a DNB Guide. He is also the guide for VR training fellowship at Sahai Hospital. He is currently the president elect of Raj Ophth Society.

Principal Consultant Ophthalmologist and Vitreo-Retinal Surgeon A well-trained actively practicing Ophthalmologist in both anterior and posterior segment of the Eye over a decade. His academic achievements comprises of a Diploma in Ophthalmology (DO), DNB (Diplomate Of National Board in Ophthalmology), Vitreo-Retina fellowship (short term) from the prestigious L V Prasad Eye Institute, Hyderabad followed by a Clinical and Research fellowship in Vitreo-Retina and Uveitis from the esteemed Sankara Nethralaya, Chennai. Dr Manoj has achieved a certification in Basic and Clinical Sciences in Ophthalmology from the International Council of Ophthalmology (ICO), UK and The Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Glasgow (FRCS Glasg), UK. He is also a Fellow of All India Collegium of Ophthalmology in Retina and Vitreous (FAICO). Dr Khatri has published several papers in peer reviewed scientific journals, presented widely nationally and internationally at various scientific forums.
He is on board as a Principal investigator and Co-investigator of various drug trials in Ophthalmology. He is assiduously engaged as a DNB (Diplomate Of National Board in Ophthalmology) teaching cum thesis guide. Principal areas of interest include – Cataract and Vitreo-Retinal Surgeries as well as Uveitis/Ocular trauma and Neuro-ophthalmology.
His special interests rests in – Retinopathy of prematurity, Diabetic retinopathy and challenging Vitreo-Retinal surgeries with Cataract and Phacoemulsification surgeries.Dr Manoj has been performing Live Cataract and Vitreo-Retinal surgeries at various State and National level conferences.
Enthusiastically involved in training surgeries comprising of advanced Vitreo-Retinal disorders to National and International trainees.He is the Founder and Managing Director of EYDOX Eye Hospital private limited, Chennai.
He is also presently working as Chief Consultant Ophthalmologist – Cataract and Vitreo-Retinal Services as well as Uveitis/Ocular trauma and Neuro-ophthalmology Specialist at Westminster Healthcare, Chennai; Apollo group of Hospitals, Chennai and Rajan Eye Care Hospital, Chennai.

Dr. Chaitra Jayadev

Dr. Chaitra Jayadev

Dr. Chaitra Jayadev is a senior vitreoretina consultant at Narayana Nethralaya, Bangalore. She has completed two surgical *retina fellowships* and an ICO fellowship with Dr Srinivas Sadda in Doheny Eye Institute, California. Dr. Chaitra defended her *PhD* this March on Pediatric Retinal Imaging at Maastricht University, Netherlands. She is the recipient of the *J.M. Pahwa Best Free Paper Award* at VRSI 2014 Annual Meeting. Dr Jayadev is activity involved in clinical and basic science research at her institute and beyond and has over *80 PubMed* index publications and chapters in several text books. She is an invited speaker at international and national meetings.

Dr Chaitra has served the *Indian Journal of Ophthalmology* over 10 years in various capacities. She is the founder editor of the Journal of Vision Sciences, the official journal of Karnataka. In 2014, she was elected to be the *Member, Scientific Committee of AIOS* and served in this position for 3 years. Dr Jayadev heads the Centre of Ophthalmic *Imaging Reading Centre* and involved with remote diabetic retinopathy screening and grading of images for research studies.
